Views of Mt Cook are spectacular! An incredible hotel location and all windows have these awesome inspiring views of the snowy alps around it. I liked the new interior design and colours in the Premium twin room. I like open fires and all new interior design in the hotel. Overall done very well with beautiful design.

The rooms at the Hermitage are dated and tired, but you're paying for the location and view and those things deliver in spades. We arrived after dark and were in awe at the view when we awoke the next morning - Mount Cook directly out our balcony and it was stunning! The restaurants are very expensive, but again, understandable given the isolated location. We had the breakfast buffet and the food was very good - the view magnificent. It was memorable. You are paying for your location and view here and those things make the Hermitage totally worth the price. We really enjoyed our stay!

the room was absolutely stunningly placed for spectacular views of the mountain in its full glory! Loved every minute. This venue is very busy, yet you never felt overcrowded or found staff flustered. They're composed friendly and very helpful. The food was next level! For the amount of people they have to prepare for, this was some of the best food I've had in the last 10 years in NZ! Both dinner and breakfast buffet! Loved every second of our time at The Hermitage Mount cook Hotel

Over all it was great. The room was large, very comfy and GREAT beds. We only stayed over night but it was my 4th visit over the years and probably the best.

Staff were friendly and helpful, the location is perfect, the outside of the facilities is gorgeous. Food in Buffet was superb. The doc station is the best I have seen.

I paid extra to get a deluxe room which had exceptional views of Mount Cook. The views were really stunning, it took our breath away. Easy check-in. Great dinner in the on-site restaurant. Exceptional service from the whole team.

The view from our room as exceptional and it was very comfortable and warm. It snowed while we were there which was just magical (particularly as we are from a sunny climate) - it was great that there were still walks close by and you could move around the Hermitage to go to the restaurant etc without going outside so the snow was not an inconvenience. Although pretty expensive the buffet dinner was impressive and the restaurant has a great outlook too. All the staff were friendly and helpful and there was an atmosphere of welcoming and class across the board.

Our room was spacious warm and extremely well set up with an extraordinary view. I liked the bar area when the fire was lit though unfortunately on the second night the staff who were new to making fires did not succeed in lighting it , which took away from the atmosphere of the area.

Polite and friendly staff. Room was comfortable with great view, but nothing much more than a standard room in terms of fittings etc… paid for the view, when that disappeared with the clouds, it’s an ok room (superior queen room).

The dinner buffet at the hotel was absolutely delicious, and the view was stunning. Initially, we were given a room with only a partial view but were later transferred. Unfortunately, the new room came with a different issue, the guests above us were very noisy, with kids running around. We had to call several times before the matter was addressed, though the manager eventually handled it. Overall, great food and scenery, but the room experience could have been smoother.
